This policy, together with our Terms and Conditions and any other documents referred to in it, sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of May 2018, the data controller for data that we collect from you is Plan Zheroes -The Zero Food Waste Heroes, 2 Hunter Road, London SW20 8NZ.

Information we may collect from you

We collect information that you provide by filling in forms on planzheroes.org (our website). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, to complete your profile, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site or when you contact us.

Our site will use the postcode that you provide to us at the time of registration to display your location on a map associated with your profile. Your profile will be accessible to other users of our site within the European Union.

If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence or conversation.

We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

Details of transactions you carry out through our site

We may collect details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data. This may be to enable you to access the resources we offer, or for our own billing purposes, or it may be to predict your preferences and to show you adverts that are most likely to be of interest to you.

IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer (and/or mobile device or tablet) including your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers and partners. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and it does not identify any individual.

If you engage with us on social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) the data we are given by those services should be in line with the terms of that particular service.

You have the right to request details of the personal information we hold about you. You may ask us to correct, update or delete it. You may ask us not to use it.

You can request information, or request any changes to your personal details or how they are used, verbally or by writing to us at genius@planzheroes.org. We will respond to all requests within one calendar month of you making the request.

Retention period

We will retain your data for two years. Please let us know if any of your details change within this period.
